TV9 Malaysia is a Terrestrial Malaysian Television channel with content designed for the younger audience and youth of Malaysia. It is a free-to-air channel made easily available to the audience in the country.

It was launched in 2006 with the sole aim of providing entertainment to the Malay-speaking audience in the rural areas of Malaysia. The channel is owned and operated by Media Prima Berhad Group.

The sister channels of this TV9 are TV3 and NTV7. Malay is the major language of the channel and it has a wide variety of programs such as dramas, and religious programs. Flagship news and other informative shows. 

History Of TV9

TV9 was originally launched as Channel 9 in 2003 as a test transmission.  It was officially launched and rebranded three years later in 2006. The purpose of the channel was to create family-oriented content available as a domestic television channel. 

The popularity of the channel grew in the later years and by 2015, the channel had shifted its transmission to HD quality. As digital media grew with time, TV9 was made available for streaming on various digital platforms online to keep up with the changing times. Currently, TV9 runs on a high-definition broadcast with multiple dramas and shows added to the channel’s daily schedule.
